What to expect

What to expect

One of the toughest things about visiting a church is knowing what will my experience be like.  We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed when you visit with us. So here is a little info about who we are.

The first thing you will notice when coming to East Centre is LOVE.  A love for God first and foremost, but also a love for each other. We uphold this as one of our utmost responsibilities as a church.  We believe and practice what Jesus tells us…

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

The second thing you will see is DIVERSITY and UNITY.  Jesus Christ is head over our church.  The Bible reminds us of this…

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.  Ephesians 4:1-6

Upon your arrival, you will see our church is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds.  Attire is not a issue at our church! Some will be dressed blue jeans, coat and tie, shorts and t-shirts, dresses, etc.  Whatever you are wearing, you will fit right in – so come as you are!

The third thing you will notice is a sense of MISSION. Reaching the lost for Jesus and leading them to become discples of Christ is our goal.  We do so by providing an opportunity for believers to worship, grow in the Bible, and equip them to serve the church and the world.  Check out the rest of this website and see some of what God is doing at ECBC.
